New from Mississippi

Hello,
I live in northern Mississippi and I have 8 hens. I ordered them last spring from My Pet Chicken. I have really enjoyed watching them grow. Not to mention the eggs. All are laying great, though they have slowed down this winter.

I came to love chickens as a child at my Grandmothers house. She always let the grandchildren gather the eggs, and I have loved chickens ever since. We have two each of: Barred Rock (my all time favorite breed), Rhode Island Red, Red Star, and Astrolorpe(sp?). They are all friendly and a lot of fun to watch.

I have learned most all I know about caring for chickens from this forum. Thanks
