(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first chicks last year, 5 different breeds 3 from each for 15 to start.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Unfortunately we are down to 7. Between training our dogs, and a skunk frightening them that is being dealt with, the first year has been difficult.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Our first flock consists of Rainbows, Speckled Sussex, Sapphire Gems, Black Australorp and Midnight Majesty Marans. This year we will be adding more Speckled, Rainbows, ISA Browns, Amberlink and Black Sex Link girls to the group!!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The joy of watching them from young chicks to adults, learning their personalities and of course Fresh eggs!!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening and horseback riding
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have three boys, live in MN and along with chickens, one duck, three horses, we also raise beef cattle!!

Found the site by doing a search for information on our chickens. First time hearing of it and loved the information that came up from it on a search!!
