Hi!
We are totally brand new to raising chickens, and we just got ours on Wednesday from Meyer Hatchery. Right now, we have 4 Rhode Island Red & 4 Barred Rock pullets, and we're hoping it stays that way! (We have our fingers crossed everyone stays healthy/safe & that the hatchery was more than usually accurate in sexing the chicks.)
I'm a freelance web developer, and I live in a multi-generational home with my folks & boyfriend. We all help each other with running our businesses, and pitch in with cooking, cleaning, etc.
So far, I'm the designated chicken mommy (& am probably fussing over them)

I've already found this forum to be incredibly helpful, and I'm very glad for the resource! We have taken tons of books out from the library & bought a number of them, too, but interaction with others looks to be a very valuable resource.
Thanks for reading!
