New to chickens! Was raised with horses and unfortunately never had chickens. I started with the idea of having 4 and have exploded to 16 chicks 2 week old chicks (4 Rhode Island, 2 buff orp, 2 lavender orp, 4 olive eggers, 4 Easter eggers). I figured while I was starting babies, I might as well make it count! I’m on 5 acres so space is no issue however I have been brainstorming runs/coops (I plan to DIY and that’s what brought me here). Im so excited to feed my family and connect with my food. Also there’s no beating the fun they provide. My kids are endlessly entertained! Thanks for the community! Im afraid I’ve exhausted all my friends and family with chicken talk..
