Hi, My name is Carolynne and I live in New Zealand. When we moved to a small town, first thing I wanted, was to have a couple of chickens. So I started reading this website to learn as much as possible before hand. Almost a year later, I wanted to join this wonderful group of chicken lovers who's advise and wonderful stories helped me get started. I have a small flock of 5 girls (I hope are all girls) 3 Hyline's which I raised from 4 day's old,,and 2 rescued birds,but to be honest not sure.. do not even know what breed, just knew I could not leave them. Anyway, glad to be here and look forward to talking to you all.

I read every page some 2 and 3 times before I even looked at getting any chickens. After months and months of reading and telling hubby all the interesting facts etc.. He finally asked "are you ever going to get any or just read about raising them?" So I did !!!!
