Micheal, I have Cornish rocs, orpingtons, Plymouth rocks, silkies, a Cochran, one that I have no idea what breed he is, and a few leghorns.

You have an interest mixed flock. I especially like the Orpingtons for their beautiful feathers (mine are Buff) and their calm, gentle temperament (they are also pretty good layers), and I keep a few of them in my flock for those reasons. Good luck with your flock.

I'm a construction worker about 3 months into raising chickens. I have 21 chickens, 3 ducks, and 2 pigs. Since I am so new to the chicken world and advice would be greatly appreciated.

My advice would be give them different things to climb and perch on. Also vary their feed with lots of treats in the form of fresh greens and berries. I would also get a big sack of mixed wild bird seed and spread some of that around the area for them to hunt for, it keeps them busy. Search your yard for this:

My birds LOVE this stuff. It has to be their favorite food. Its good for them and it grows all over this part of the world as a weed. The little fruits taste like sweet and sour candies because they are high in vitamin C. Also makes an excellent salad green for humans.
