(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am brand new to chickens. We got ours just about two weeks ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4
(3) What breeds do you have? Rhode Island Reds
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I've never had any desire to raise chickens or live on a hobby farm, but here I am and I'm REALLY enjoying these ladies! I find them quite funny in their personalities and behavior! I enjoy working in the garden with them strutting around and marching right up and sticking their beaks in to see what we're up to.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My hobbies, fortunately, tend to be my professions, also: music, writing, podcasting, reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married, 10 kids including my step-daughter; a 'small' Irish Wolfhound. We expect to add rabbits and goats in the not-too-distant future.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
