I'm reading up on chickens. Chickens are something I've always been interested in. Trouble is I can't find ANY INFORMATION anywhere whether I'm able to keep them in Cambria County, PA. No matter where I look, and the zoning ordinances listed nothing in detail about chickens. I can't find anything.

I'm paying off to own my house; so unfortunately that means no moving, if it isn't allowed. Mostly I joined because I need help and can't find any info. If it's allowed, I'll likely do some more research on chickens for next year, after we officially pay our house off. .)

glad you have joined us.

IMO the best source would be your local City Clerk's office or local Agriculture Agent - they should be able to assist you in finding the local ordinances.

Hi and welcome to BYC - you have some great advice already so I'll just say hello and wish you good luck!

All the best

Man, I am hoping to get quail and can't find anything anywhere about the laws.
It really gets confusing.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy BackYard Chickens as much as we do.

Thanks guys!
And thank you for the thread links, I browsed through there a bit and posted. Looks like there are some central PA folks who've had chickens. Doesn't look like very many places DON'T let you have chickens here, so finger's still crossed. XD
