I had chickens when I was a little girl and just started my new backyard mixed flock last August 4. I started with 3 golden laced Wyandottes and 1 rooster, 2 barred rocks, 2 buff Orpingtons, 1 light Brahma, 1 Black Copper Marans, 1 white Leghorn, 1 Welsumer, 1 Mexican Game hen(?). December 9 my beloved rooster suddenly died - and I was so fortunate to be able to acquire my Blue Andalusians: 1 rooster and 3 hens. After 2 weeks of introduction they are all together and doing well. I feel so fortunate to have found this forum of other chicken crazy people....
