New from Phelan,Ca

Hi gang,

Planning on getting into egg layers, I'm done buying junk eggs from the store I want to make my own. So here I am gathering intel. I really like Grungybones' coop.

I live in the high desert of SoCal where our high temps will get up to 105 and lows in the high teens low twenty's. I like to start with 10 to 12 pullets.

I was just checking my weather stations history and for the past 2 years of data I have, the highest was 104 on July 17th 2009

I live in Hesperia now, but I grew up in Phelan!! Shade and LOTS of water will do wonders for chickens!
