New to the forum and new to chickens. We have just built our first coop and are now looking for our first chickens. I am hoping to get some great information and tips here.

The funny part is we are not sure where to get chickens in this area. We know we don't want chicks, would prefer done brooding, but not 'old' chickens.

Try craigslist or the local thread in the "where am I, where are you" forum

from PA! Craigslist is a good source - otherwise you can always get baby chicks from the hatcheries. I like Meyers for this area. Good luck and let us know when you get some
