I'm new to this and am on here because I need professional help with my new "family". My dog found a bird in our backyard, and we decided to keep it. After much research we found it is a female cortunix quail and she is the tamest thing! 3 days later a neighbor came over and said he had found one in his backyard so we said we'd take it. It turned out to be a male! A week later the female started laying eggs and so we decided to get an incubator. 1st egg started to hatch but didn't make it out.. so we put 4 more eggs in, one hatched of that bunch July 21, 2011 and is doing AMAZING, 2nd one hatched 2 days later and is a little "different", He has a crooked neck and curled feet (which I now have taped with bandaids after much research about that) I've posted another post about my concerns for this little one as I don't know what's best for him. I love all of them and am very familiar with animals and farm animals, my mom worked with birds and was a vet assistant and worked with many animals. We love all of our animals and I'm hoping to find some new information to add onto my knowledge!
Thanks!
Would love some insight and help on our "different" baby named Iigor.
Thanks!
