New from Texas Hill Country

Hi! I'm a wife and mother of two children, and have been living in Texas hill country for 18 or so months on five acres. Coming originally from rural Australia, I was excited to get my own little patch to create and cultivate. I have a few veggies in (Looking forward to tomatoes!) and 8 weeks ago got 6 lovely production red chicks! Unfortunately something got into our closed coop and took the heads only of all my chickens

. I didn't expect to feel as devastated.... But... with some work.... we will rebuild...

Welcome to BYC! So sorry to hear about the loss of your flock. We lost all three of ours last year to raccoons and now have the Fort Knox of chicken tractors (complete with padlocked doors on the coop and run portions). Good luck with the design modifications and with the next batch of chickens!
