We are new to chickens and know next to nothing (thats why I'm here), We've had chickens since June.

Our chicks were given to us by an older gentleman that thought it would be great for our family(1 Roo, 1 Hen & 4 chicks). We started out with 3 small chicks but they were eaten within 2 weeks (not by us). Then he gave us six more. They all lasted for a while until... (spooky music plays). Some critter that can walk through walls (and fence) got 2. So now we have 3 hens and one roo. As far as breed all I know is that they are chickens (told ya i was smart). One day I will post Pics and you guys can help me figure them out. Needed help so googled for it and found you guys. I hit BackYardChickens.com every couple days with new questions, and you guys rock.

Glad to be with You!!!
