My name is Karli. After two years of wanting to, we finally got some chickens!! I'm sure I'll be around asking a million silly questions.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
This is a first for me. We got our first batch of chicks a week and a half ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Six!!
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 Speckled Sussex (belongs to my 3-year old son. Named Airplane Dragon Dragon
) , 1 Easter Egger and 1 Gold Laced Wyandotte (belong to my 8- year old son. Named Easter and Goldie) , 1 Silver Lace Wyandotte (belongs to my 5yo son. Named Baby Chick but will be renamed Big Chick LOL) , and 2 Buff Orpingtons (belong my 10yo daughter. Vanilla and Cinnamon)
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
A good friend who keeps a backyard flock recommended BYC.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love being a mom, reading, homeschooling my monkeys and cooking from scratch.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a SAHMomma to five monkeys ranging in age from 10 to 18m. This is kinda of first foray into "homesteading". I'm so excited!
