Just wanted to say hello to all the other chicken lovers out there, so glad to find this forum, never knew there were others like me!!! We started our flock this spring. We have 21 chickens total and 14 eggs incubating which are from our 9 Americauna hens I recued from an overly rooster populated owner, lets just say 30 ish roos and 9 hens.....poor girls. Needless to say their first eggs we gathered were obviously VERY fertile, so we are gonna give it a go...wish us luck. The Americaunas are cutie pies! My 3 Barred Rock are cautious but curious, our RIR "Roadie" is very curious. Our 3 white leg horns are the friendliest of all and our 2 Mille Fluer Bantams are a in a class of their own. We also have what were sold as Cornish Rock..2 Roos and 1 hen. We have a total of 4 Roos and 17 hens.
