Hi guys, Im new to the sight, and pretty new to the world of Chickens. My husband and I are hoping to add an "urban coop" to our backyard come spring.

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- new to owning chickens, but both husband and I were around them a lot as kids

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- None right now, hoping to get the coop done in the spring

(3) What breeds do you have?
- We are debating between quite a few...but our city only allows 3, so we must choose wisely. We will prob end up with three different breeds. Looking for good layers, cold hardy and friendly... I would like at least one that is color layer, and husband seems to have his heart set on a Rhode Island Red

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
- surfing the net looking for Chicken info!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- We have bulldogs that are a big part of our family, and we enjoy target shooting a ton.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
-Right now its just my husband (35) and myself (30), with our 3 bulldogs and a Boston Terrier. We are hoping to add a human baby to the mix soon.

Hello and welcome, from another Washingtonian on the east side. Rhode island reds are great chickens and good layers!
