Hi everyone.
My husband and I have just purchased property, and next year I will finally be able to have chickens. I've wanted chickens for a decade, but we didn't live where we could have them.
I'm sure I will have many questions, and some of them might sound silly to some of you. I am in the heavy research stage right now, and research always includes questions for those that are actually involved in a process.
Don't know yet what breed(s) we might want, but DO know that our purpose is to produce eggs. I don't have any desire to produce strictly meat birds.
We're out in the country, so have a lot of room for a large run, but will not be able to "free range"
I look forward to chatting with all of you.
