They are wet from a bath, they were covered in poop from the store :O(

We live in fort myers, Fl. So any local hazards or helpfull tips would be awsome.

Any information on breed or gender. Anything I need to do, that I am not doing, or anything I am doing wrong please let me know.

Also....The gentlemen at the feed store said I should not wet thier food (they are on chickstarter) and No swimming until they are 4 to 5 months old. He also mentioned not letting them graze until they are 3 months old. Is he correct?

Any other information or critizims are welcomed...Thanks for your support and help.

Pick that newspaper up and put down paper towels instead! Newspaper is too slick and can harm their legs.

Do you also have a heat lamp on for them? Especially after that bath, they will chill easily.

The feed store guy sounds pretty accurate too me, but I do not own geese. (raised some before though)

Perhaps someone who raises geese will pop in soon.

Paper Towels instead of newspaper
Heat Lamp
And I would cover 2-3 sides of that cage until they bigger, to keep them from getting chilled.

Hi Amber,
I agree with the previous two posts. Heat Lamp and Paper Towels. If you cover three of the four sides...they will have less of a chance of catching a chill. Plus, they'll feel safe and secure...always good - to have babies/anything feeling safe and secure. I give mine chopped up greens long before three months...they always do great! Nothing too long or bulky and they should be fine. Enjoy!

Is the chick starter feed medicated? I was told not to give chick feed to anything but chickens. It has an ingredient that can make other birds sick or die. That was the only thing that jumped out at me that you might want to change.

Its not medicated...I made sure of that.

They feed store guy sold me the same thing that he feeds them. I hope he has the right stuff...I will go to TSC and pick up game feed 1st thing in the morning
