I’m so happy to say my sweet Molly is doing great! Her injuries are almost healed. The scans have fallen off and her skin is pink and healthy looking. She still has skin that is pushed up. Will she regrow those feathers?
I decided I’m not going to put her back in with the big Beilefelder rooster. I did not want her to be lonely, so I got her another pullet. The pullet isn’t laying yet. I introduced them gradually. I had to put an apron on Molly because new girl was pecking at her skin. She doesn’t seem to mind it at all.
They are in a 6x6 enclosure with high and low roosts. Molly still cannot get up to the roost. She doesn’t even go up the ladder to the shorter roost. New Girl goes to the high roost and Molly just paces back and forth and chirps. They aren’t very friendly to each other. They seem to be checking each other out. There have been no squabbles, they are just ignoring each other.
Will they become friends?
