So my mom made me trade in one of my roos for 2 laying hens. Ironically, these girls looks a lot like him but in "female form." I'm not sure what breed(s) he was compromised of, but does anyone know what my new girls are?
Well, this in Gin, the roo I had to get rid of:
And these are my new girls - Penelope (aka "Penny) and Henrietta:
^^^Sorry those pictures kind of suck, they were fighting over the same nesting box and would push the other out and then the one would come out of the coop screaming and then would run back in and push the other out. My other hen thinks these new ladies are an odd bunch.
* Thes girls are about a year old and are pretty small. They are a bit shorter than my other hen who I thought was tiny (I think she is an Ameracuana/EE X Silkie).
Anyways, these are the eggs they lay:
^^^ They are a very light brown, almost peach colored
So any ideas on the breed or breeds?
Thanks!
