Hello! I'm a new chicken-owner in North Texas. I have always wanted to raise chickens and -- with the guidance of some experienced chicken-owner friends -- finally had the courage to get some chicks. They were also the ones to recommend this site, which has been instrumental in getting us started.
Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Got my hens as day-old-chicks about four months ago.
How many chickens do you have right now?
Four.
What breeds do you have?
Two - Easter Eggers and Rhode Island Reds.
What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Getting friends and my daughter involved, and learning about nature through these animals.
