Hugo, Ok
I have hatched out 3 baby eBay geese. First of all let me say I LOVE them!! They are nothing like baby chicks! They have so much personality and actually enjoy being with you and interacting with people. They are about 3 weeks old now and I hope I am raising them right. They sleep in the chick brooder at night but they are starting to get too tall. During the day they have a pen outside so they can eat grass. When I get home I let them out and they follow me all around the yard.

They came from a guy that has embden, white Chinese, roman, Sebastopol, and pilgrim. I am sure they could be cross breeds too. I can't quite figure out the grey one. I thought pilgrim but he has grey feet and beak. Where is that coming from?

Thank you! They are the biggest pets ever. I'm worried I am starving them. Well not starving but they don't seem satisfied. They eat feed in the brooder box they sleep in. High protien, non medicated, but during the day their small pen is low on fresh grass. Last night it was late when I got home and I put them in their bed box but hand picked them some grass and they ate it like they were starving to death. So I went ahead and let them out to walk around in the yard and I've never seen them eat quite like that. They were really chowing down. I'm worried they aren't getting enough grass to eat. At 3 weeks old maybe they need more grass than feed. I don't know how people keep the adults penned up if they need so much grass.

They love to swim too but I'm afraid of them getting cold and wet. I still have a heat lamp on them and when it's warmer at night I switch to just a 60w bulb. When I have let them play in the water I always dry them off with a towel. They are starting to put in some big boy feathers now though so I will start letting them in it more often.

Never hurts to be worried about your lil ones sounds like your doing a good job, and yes they love to graze but if grass isn't coming in good yet, get them some Romaine lettuce and chop it up for them also Kale is good for them and some even hang heads of cabbage for them to munch on. Be sure to keep tabs on temps in brooder as to not over heat them.

Wanted to show off my babies a little bit more. Still not sure on their breeds or if they are a mix or male or female but I love them!
