we had a flock of guineas mainly for pest control and they all disapeared one day exept for one hen that we were left with, A friend of ours also had just one guinea left and it was a male, they offered it to us and so now we have a pair. Anyway, my question is: is this male guinea a jumbo? because he wieghs more than my RR rosster did and his legs and head match his body, he's HUGE. He is atleast twice the size of the hen and way surpases her in weight. just wondering if someone would know.

Thanks,

yes, that's a full grown guinea hen. and besides the size difference the weight difference is astounding. the jumbo seems friendlier, but that's with only having one, lol. sure can't fly, and I found him on the ground next to the tree that the hen was roosting in one night. they are as vulnerable to predators as a heavy breed chicken.

No way, lol too much work.
I flunked the Guinea math class
