Hello. I’ve never raised any sort of birds before. Bought 4, 5 day old guineas mid July. Three survived and thrived. Now it’s almost February and could use y’all’s help. One of my hens has laid about 20 eggs in covered box attached to coop and won’t come out. Some I’m sure have frozen because she started dropping eggs about a month ago but just became broody. What should I do? Thanks

It would help to know your general location as guineas are a seasonal layer and laying season is different in the northern hemisphere than it is in the southern hemisphere.

I live in Brooklyn Indiana. Small town 30 minutes south of indpls

Your guineas should not be laying at this time of year. If you are providing them with supplemental light that could explain it. I recommend discontinuing the supplemental light.
I have a heat light in coop at night but never in the box. I was told they need this heat lamp due to frigid temperatures. They won’t freeze in below 30º temps?
