Hello all, I got to searching the web and found you! My name is Jason and I currently have bantam chickens. I dont show them I just have them to--well to be honest "I just like-em" I had chickens when I was young and really enjoyed them, now that Im a dad with 3 daughters I thought it would be a good idea for my kids to raise there own. I raise old english and my kids raise silkies. Toghther we have 2 silver duckwing hens named turtle and betti. 2 black breasted hens named cup kake and grace. 1 genger named maggi, maggi just hatched her fist 4 chicks a week ago. My rooster is a wheaton named squirrel...LOL!! I did say I have 3 kids didnt I. We also have a full size green egg layer named mumbles (kids named her after the movie Happy Feet because she is a black colored hen) and 2 silkies that are partrige the hen is named reecy and the roo is named chicken. We are having alot of fun playing with our flock. I found you all to ask about bantam ducks. My middle daughter has been having some medical issues that is going to prevent her from getting here drivers license this summer and she is kind of bummed as am I. She has always asked me for ducks and I say no every time she asked Im not one to really spoil my kids but I think Im going to let here have a pair of hen bantam ducks to raise. Any info would be helpful on the ducks...will they get along with there silkies in the same pen? Where would be a good place to get banatam ducks?
