Got a question about a chicken breed I'll post in the Chicken breed thread. I've had chickens since 2017. Started with Buff Orpingtons and Cornish Crosses, then Barred Rocks and Rhode Island Reds. Bought most of them from Tractor Supply but thinking about getting into more of a sustainable flock. Had a stray rooster show up at my house a while back and can't figure out the breed. Anybody have that happen? Lol! More on that story in my upcoming breeds post.

I've had a stray pullet wander unto my property before. Looked like she'd been abducted by a hawk and was lucky to get away. Usually it's dumped roosters that people find. Best of luck determining the breeds of your birds.

Had a stray rooster show up at my house a while back and can't figure out the breed. Anybody have that happen? Lol!

I think someone likely dumped him there.
I've never had it happen but thought I did!
One morning I heard an unfamiliar crow coming from the coop and thought "Oh no! Someone dumped a rooster on me!!" Nope. One of my hens decided to start crowing. She not only sounds awful, I haven't gotten an egg from her yet this year.
