Wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name's Mike and I live in South Jersey with my wife and children. I'm currently getting supplies together to start building my coop and run. Not in a rush as there is a lot of info I need to learn first. I've been reading a bunch of posts on here and also a lot of other material on other sites. I do have one question for this forum. Is there a newbie section that has stickies containing the important stuff? I have opened a bunch of threads in various sections and looked at plans for coops, different breeds, etc, but maybe a section that may contain a list of stuff to get before you bring chickens in? Sorry if it's right in front of my fave and don't see it lol. Thanks all and I look forward to meeting new people and learning a ton.

Hi, Mike, welcome to BYC from the Northern part of the state. Your turn for the snow today - what a crazy winter.
Hahaha yeah we have had a crazy winter this year. We ended up getting another 7" yesterday. I love winter so it doesn't bother me too much but I do have outdoor stuff I need to get done and can't with all this white stuff. Oh well. I appreciate all the welcomes. I'll be reading through the learning section. Sent via carrier pigeon
