Hello all and thanks for welcoming me to the group. I'm excited to join and learn as much as I can from you all about this new endeavor. I haven't actully adpoted any birds yet, they will be Easter gifts for my nieces but I will be their primary caretaker (isn't that the way with all pets after all!) Right now I'm looking into Coop options, reading all I can and exposing myself to the education before Spring rolls around and I dive in. I'm sure you will all be a great help.
A little about me... NYC Professional who lives in the suburbs and has a large yard and garden - - Many fruit trees, vegitables, herbs etc. My family is from Italy so it's in the roots. The only thing missing is livestock! The chickens will remind me of summer days in Italy with my Nonna tending her chickens. What can I say, I'm a country boy in the big city! Now to get NYC to allow pigs and cows
