Welcome. Your chicken coop looks like it will be very nice. I've read a lot of chicken books ...which ones are you reading.
 
No, no books yet. I've been relying on my Brother and my Niece who have a small flock on their property. I've also gotten some information from the farm behind mine where one of the young lady farmers is raising a couple hundred chickens. Apart from that I'm relying on you all to keep me on the straight and narrow

My calendar for tonight has been cleared. I'm hoping to use my time to finish up the inside of the coop. I need to construct a half wall with fencing midway up to separate the storage room from the coop. I'll need a doorway to access the coop, and I need to take the current dutch door that the horse used to use and cut a small opening in the bottom half to serve as access to the coop from the run.

Once that is done I'll start pondering the run area. One of the Keyson the horse was nice enough to offer up a 12 x 20 section of his paddock for the chickens. I just have to fence it in.
