This is my "what was I thinking" introduction thread. I'd been toying with the idea of getting chickens for a while now, I'd even gotten some wood together for the coop build. Today I went to price out rest of the materials and ended up leaving with 5 new chicks! Two Rhode Island Reds and 3 Barred Rocks. I've been lurking and reading for a while, so I have a pretty good understanding of what is going on. But I still keep asking what I got myself into.

Here's my girls. Coop should be done in the next couple weeks.
