New guy has a Q about X breeding

Hello chicken people.

I have two silky roosters about 7 months old and 4 Isa Brown hens about 12 months old. They have been together for about 3 months and I catch them doing it every now and then. I recently bought an incubator and put about 20 eggs in there (Thinking they were fertilized?) none of them hatched?? I cracked them open on day 24 and there were 4 baby chickens in them out of 20. They obviously died straight away when cracked but appeared fully formed and ok. Can You X Breed these types of chickens??

If there were developing chicks in there then yes, you can x breed them. It sounds as though something may have occurred with the incubator settings that interrupted them developing all the way to hatch.

Most likely temps were too low. The four of them may have hatched in a couple of days.
