New guy in the desert.

Hello, my name is Richard. I have acquired 3 "barred rock" chickens. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing!! My neighbor had them, well long story short , now I do. I have 3 dogs. All super friendly, absolute BABIES!! 2 Chiwawa's and a boxer. The dogs are scared of the chickens!! So I dont think there will be conflict. (I hope) Temperatures get pretty high here in the summer. Phoenix, AZ is no joke in July, August!! So, any and all advice I would be MOST thankful for!!
