Ello, from down under, the other 50 states that is, a Mississippian by transplant, married, retired, empty nest syndrome, kids not chickens, been raising chickens for meat and egg's now for 10 years, not fond of roosters but will tolerate them, gone the gammit with the predator's, gosh, everything eats chickens or chicks or the eggs, poor bird's just take a lick'n and keep on tick'n, it's great to free range them, bug population has gone wayyyyyyyyyy down, and the garden help's feed them, once the garden is done and I open the gate, they go to work gleaning what they like and making it easier for me to till the rest.... that's about it for now....

Ahhh, TY, it is a welcome happily received, but guineas, man ohhh man, those things started roosting on my roof, could not get them to return to their pen, and annoying up there, they were, a large owl must have spotted them, they dwindled one by one, nevvah got anymore which was fine by me, don't have a pooch anymore so it seems the fleas and ticks dwindled away by their own, no dinner I suppose.... I have brown egg's with darker blotches on them, large areas on the sides that just showed up yesterday, never experienced these before, any help?
