I am looking for some leg bands so my daughter can tell our new baby Runner ducks apart but I don't need 100....does anyone know where I can buy them in smaller numbers?? or any other ideas how I can mark them to tell them apart without hurting them?

I wish they can descent a skunk. they are so cute..

They can. They used to sell them in pet stores years ago but your to young to remember. It's illegal to have one now without a permit from Fish and Game

Showing my age here, lol, but when i was about 5, a neighbor lady had a pet skunk. It was "de-scented", but still had a sort of musky smell to it. It made quite an impression on me that she had it for a pet!!

I have not seen any so far this year, but we sometimes see skunks rooting for grubs in our veggie garden. We have a yard-light on the telephone pole, it's one of the yellow ones, not white, so it's not real bright. But we could see the skunk's bushy tail as it walked through the paths in the garden. The kids saw it first and asked what cat had such a bushy tail! I looked and saw it was a skunk. Our cats were curious, and they went and touched noses with it. it never sprayed. i've heard that skunks don't feel threatened by cats. Now we have a dog, so that would be another story if a skunk comes around! LOL

Now that you mentioned it again ! I do remember !! wow that was a bit ago LOL.

Even descented they still have a musky smell , simlar to ferrets, though not as rude as the whole scent gland just mildly annoying.Skunks make wonderfull pets but the one thing you must insist on if you ever get a permit, and that is to spay neuter, if not once they hit breeding age they get terrirorial and vicious as will most hormonal wild animals, very raccoons come to the front of my mind for vicious at age 2.

for travel sakes who is close to what, lakes region, seacoast region, etc general idea of what would be most central to everyone.
