i got an email today about someone looking to get rid of pekins, and i met a woman in candia that was looking for pekins, who was it?>
anyone else interested?

he always was a sweetie that i liked. my other polish all do that too, and i've had other roos that i allowed to perch on my shoulders too. (bantams are easier to do it without feeling like your arm will give way any moment!) i may have spoiled them by allowing them to do it.

i was afraid he might not get along well with another roo he's never met before, he was fine with my Sunny and the 13 girls in with them, of course i had a 2 year old hen who 'ruled' the roost and kept them both in check (a little head bop put them in order and out of the way). it may just take some time for him to realize the pecking order.

I'm sure he tried to run after your other boy's hens and they didn't like him much for it. have you read anything about the rooster reform training? it might take a couple of weeks but it sounds like something that may work on him since he's still young.

I'm sure with time the Roosters would all adjust with such a large space but it was Tommy the Turkey that scared the crap out of me. I know he would have killed him if I wasn't their watching them when I first tried introducing him to the flock. When I had a Turkey hen. The two of them were always off doing their own thing but since she's been gone he hangs out with all the chickens. If I ever see him do it to one of the chickens in the flock he's gone. I'm still looking for a hen so he will have his mind on other things​

YUMMMMMM pumpkin cheese cake, of the calories... but so worth it.
 
Posted elsewhere about Sat Sept 19 swap/chicken fair I have 2 male silkies looking for new homes need female silkies or will chance eggs as my broody girl has just started setting on one egg now only have 1 layer at the present time...with Minny broody and the other female too young to lay
My flock is 6 silkies... 3 boys 3 girls different ages...hope to see everyone on Sat

Glad you found some! The Walmart Supercenter here was clean out of canned pumpkin.
 
Im going to be at the Milford swap and Im looking for a Silkie roo either Blue, Black or Splash. I want it to be bearded thou! Anyone have any that would be cheap or free to a good home?
