New Hampshire or Rhode Island Red?

I was offered forty commercial leghorns and somehow or another a few “New Hampshire and Rhode Island Reds” were thrown into the mix (as well as a few barred rocks). I rehomed 35 of the birds and kept two leghorns, a red hen, and two barred rocks.

Is the red hen a Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire?

I believe they may be from Meyer Hatchery. They were part of a research project. So were the leghorns, but a separate project.

I wish I had before and after photos. They were all very thin with very poor feather quality. She was the first to start and finish molting. I’ve had them about 5-6ish weeks so far.

She’s been the only one of the five to come to me in curiosity and it run away in complete terror. Poor things.
