Ok that's what I'm gonna do. Get one of each breed. Are they good layers?

Hatchery NHs? Yes. I have twelve and I never get less than 8 eggs, usually ten or eleven and sometimes twelve; I'd say the average is probably ten-eleven. =)

I just got a NHR. She is 1.5 weeks old. The man that owns the farm and garden center said it was his favorite breed. Love the pics. I also have 3 BO 3 black australorps 3 americanas 2 Cornish rocks 3 red rangers a black star and a not sure. Got it at TSC and they said it was an Asian so I am going with that.

My chicks should come tomorrow

19 chicks arrived on May 1st. All were in good shape, but one weak one. We put them into a plastic tote from their shipping box to get a good look at them. Then moved them into their brooder. The weak got it's own shoebox.

The 18 are doing very well now at this point and most have doubled in size. Added another feeder and water dish on day 3, and a little grit.
