I certainly hope he will change. I’ve never raised males so I don’t know that aspect of chicken keeping yet. I love to learn new things from all of y’all who have! Thank you.New Hampshire’s are a docile breed, sounds like he is going through teenage hormones. My rooster is very sweet.Allows holding and everything
Dang. I’ve never had any experience thankfully with a mean rooster. How old is he. Maybe he’s young enough where you can change that but I don’t really know how that works my rooster is always been very sweet. Good luckI’m glad I happened up on this thread. I have a NHR that I ordered from Meyers Hatchery, supposed to be a pullet, but it fell in the 10% and is a roo. Boo hoo! Anyway, that sucker is M.E.A.N....to me! No light pecks from him and at times he all out BITES me. I thought NHRs were more docile than this, even the males.
