I am planning on getting some chicks this spring. There are three breeds I am interested in but I only want my flock to consist of one breed. The ones I am interested in are: New Hampshire Reds, Buff Orpintons, and Partridge Rocks. Which one lays the most eggs?

Why only one breed?

Based solely on egg laying, I'd say New Hampshires would be the way to go for you.

I have all 3 breeds and they are all good layers! My 6 yr old Partridge Rock is laying eggs now even tho it's mid winter. And they are very pretty birds.

Buff Orpington are a wonderful breed if you are looking for pets. However they are not the best egg layers.
