My Son was wanting a couple of RIR roosters, I was at TSC today and they brought in some NHR’s straight run, what I read about them sounds good, especially for me because I’m wanting meat birds, he’s wanting eggs, then I hatch the eggs, has anyone had experience with these for meat production?

I've not had them for meat but I've had them as layers. From what I can tell they look like a good dual purpose chicken who will have more meat than your average layer yet less than a pure meat bird like a cornish or cornish cross.
