I woke up this morning to peeping in the bator! Looked in the window and was amazed. I had 12 new BO fuzzy butts! I left for work and came home to find a total of 17! 3 are Miss Prissy's BBS Orps and 13 are from another person. Miss Prissy included a test egg in her box and it hatched as well. I have no idea what the breed is though! I doesn't look anything like an orp. It is a darker buff color with a real dark brown on its back.
I had one more BO try to hatch, but didn't get completely out of the shell last night and it was too late when I found it this morning.
I had 24 BO eggs and 15 BBS eggs in the incubator. 17 hatched, lost one before hatching, 6 infertile and still have 15 waiting in the bator. That is 44% hatch rate so far on shipped eggs!
Now if the turkey eggs from Miss Prissy do as well, I'll be thrilled!
