I've been researching, but I've gotten mixed answers.

I just got two golden comets today, to help Holly with her re-introduction from having crop stasis. One seems to have bumblefoot.

I'm pretty convinced this ISN'T a infection, but was caused by her living in a show cage with wire flooring (for god knows how long!) - as this is how most of the birds were kept when we got to the property. It was sad almost - when I put them on the ground, they just couldn't get over there being fresh grass.

It's only on her left foot. It's NOT hot or warm to the touch, and she ISN'T limping. Both of the girls seem to be VERY healthy.

Here are the pictures of Eva and her 'bumblefoot' -

Since she is no longer on the wire I would just watch her for a little to see if it clears. Does not look like an open wound by the pictures.

That's what I was thinking.

Thanks for the reply!

I agree, doesn't look bumblefootish to me, I would just watch the foot and hopefully the irritation will go away on it's own!

Yay!

I agree. I'll watch it carefully and post again if anything goes downhill.

Thanks!
