Love it! I would add a topper on the nest boxes, another board very steeply slanted, to keep the birds from roosting on the to of the boxes. We did on thats not sloped enough, and it's a mess! Mary

Mary, I forgot about nest topper, thanks for the reminder. I'll have to come up something artsy and functional.

Aart, No music stand came with the surplus pipes. Think I'll pass on making something decorative from smaller organ pipes, now thinking of making the nest topper from left over galvanized corrugated roof panels. Possibly cutting out chicken shapes with plasma cutter..... lots of possibilities!

Latest work on new coop, installing the pop door for the kids.

I most always do it different then everyone else, this is door and frame for pop door.

After cutting out door opening, time to fasten door frame, had to be careful frame looks to made from plaster. Pilot drilled holes so not to break it.

Oops, looks like I missed getting any finished inside door pics. Well, here's finished door and temporary ramp anyway. Future plans are to build a 10x12' covered deck level with coop floor.

Was going to wait a few more days before letting the new tenants move in but they had other ideas! One of our roosters "Butterscotch", with his big comb and couple of our 3 month old chicks.

Most of the trim now installed, (human) door latch done. Still need to finish door and roof trim painting. Still more work to do but enough done I can start moving the flock in.
