New Hen

I purchased a rir hen. Not sure how old she is. The gentleman says she is a good egg layer, I have had her for a week now. I have her a nest box and she has settled in. She hasnt layed any eggs yet though. Is this common? How long before she feels comfortable to start laying again. Thanks.

It may be awhile before she lays. ( up to a month) Do you have a picture of her. I raise RIRs.
