Hello all! I am new to the site and raising chickens! Have 6 pullets (4 black sex links and 2 barred rocks). We are very excited and look forward to learning and sharing with you all!

You have come to the right place for all the fun and learning! Nice breeds you have there. I have some Barred Rocks too and they lay very well and are quite friendly too. Very cold hardy birds.

Welcome to BYC, Dustin! Glad you decided to join our flock. Black Sex Links are my favorite chickens; hardy and friendly egg laying machines. I've raised them for years, and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 eggs per hen per year. You should get loads of eggs from those four ladies.
