I bought 4 new pullets the other day, 17 weeks old. I’m assuming the guy was just the middle man, he says they were raised in bulk by the Amish, so I assume he just bought a large quantity to resell.
They all have long lower beaks. They seem to be in good weight, & are able to eat & drink.
If they were debeaked/trimmed, will their beaks potentially grow back over time? Should I try to file the lowers slightly to try to even them out?

They don't look fully debeaked, but it does appear their upper beaks are trimmed quite short. Debeaked chickens are missing half of their upper beaks. They look quite disfigured. Unless this is just a less disfiguring method of debeaking...

They are very nice, healthy-looking birds, though.
