Hi all! I am excited to find this resource!
My 10 yr old son has recently started a chicken egg "business". He was inspired by 1) wanting more pets but satisfying our demand to have no more pets that only consume and not produce and 2) a way to help him achieve his goal of paying most of his way to Africa in 3-4 yrs time through his business. We are a homeschooling family and so, his business, has become our business...
So far we have 5 and 6 week old pullets: White Leghorn, Jersey Giant, Easter Eggers, White Silkie, Rhode Island Red, Cuckoo Maran. We absolutely adore them! The are incredibly entertaining and fun! We are so excited! We have them in a good sized coop and run that they share with our 2 guinea pigs.
We are still looking for 2 Olive Eggers and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas and are having little luck. We are in the Los Angeles suburbs. Does anyone know of a good source?
Thanks in advance!
