New here and new to chickens

Thanks i just took in 3 hens that were being evicted lol they are pretty but can anybody confirm for me that they are egg layers and what breed they are i was told they have been laying eggs and they are a breed that starts with o

Thats what she said they were they are light its really hot in sc so they dont leave the shady areas

They are golden comets. One of the many names for red sex-links.
 
Welcome to BYCs! I love the rooster lovin in your pic! Here we have 30+ hens, and 20+ Roos? I've lost count! We also keep turkeys, ducks, geese, and Guineas. I highly recommend turkeys though! Those things are SO friendly and easy to tame especially the white midgets.
