new here and new to owning chickens

it took me 3 years to finally get my husband to agree to fixing up and filling the chicken coop that we already had on our property ... but i finally got my chickens back in January and it's been great fun. They are such cute pets and they give us eggs every day!! I love sharing lots of yummy and healthy food with them and love to see them free-range all over our yard. They love when I turn the garden ... if they see that shovel they all come running and fight over the bugs and worms.

Anyway, my husband and I live in Niwot, Colorado on a couple acres with 8 chickens, 2 goats, 3 dogs (plus one foster dog) and 3 cats.
